What we do not collect

There is no sign-up, sign-in, or server-side storage. The countries, answers, and results from your simulation are not sent to the operator's servers.

What is stored on your device

For convenience, the values below are kept in your browser's local storage (localStorage). They stay on your device and disappear when you clear site data in your browser settings.

• tc.v1.homeCountry: the country you chose as your own
• tc.v1.countryPicks: how many times you picked each country on this device (used to list often-picked countries first)
• tc.v1.hideSensitive: your calm-view setting for sensitive events

Access logs

The site is served through Cloudflare. When you visit, your IP address and request details may be processed by Cloudflare for security and operation. The operator does not use them to identify visitors.

Advertising and cookies

This site may show Google AdSense ads on explanatory pages such as About and Methodology. No ads are placed on the simulation screen (/play/). On pages that show ads, Google and its advertising partners may use cookies or device identifiers to serve ads and measure performance and, where you consent, to show ads based on your interests.

In regions that require consent, such as the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, and Switzerland, a consent management tool (Google CMP) asks first and lets you change your choice at any time. When ads start, a privacy settings link will be provided in the footer.

International transfers

Cloudflare and Google operate servers abroad, so access information and ad-related information may be processed outside your country.

Children

This service is not directed at children under 14 and we do not knowingly collect their personal information.
