The sources and terms of the statistics and materials we use. Every value is stored with its observation year, source, and quality grade.

Historical events

Era events were checked against public sources such as UCDP (conflict), EM-DAT (disasters), IMF (economy), and WHO (health), and against historical literature. Event size and effect are simulation design values, not figures from those sources.

Updates

We use a snapshot downloaded and prepared when the site is built; nothing is fetched live from outside servers. The current data version is 2026.12 (sources checked 2026-10-16).

Borders on the map follow the map data and express no political position.
